This Notice and Consent supplements the information contained in the Privacy Policy of Perry Street Software ("we", "our", or "us").

To continue, you must grant us and our service provider consent to collect, capture, obtain, disclose, possess, process, receive, store, and use your biometric data for the purpose, all as described below.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at https://support.scruff.com for users of the SCRUFF App, at https://support.jackd.com for users of the Jack’d App, or contact customer service from within any of our other services or products. If you choose to withdraw your consent, we will not be able to complete the verification process and your access to our Services may be limited.

We use a service provider for providing verification services. We may use verification services for authenticating your use of the Service, including regarding a profile (for example, obtaining a verification badge for such profile), for safety purposes, for detecting and preventing creation of fake or multiple accounts, fraud, identity theft, impersonation, misrepresentation, deception, spam, and/or malicious or illegal actions, and/or in connection with enforcing our policies, terms, and guidelines. With your consent, we use such service provider to analyze, detect, and/or process a face in an image and/or video (for example, a video selfie) to check that there was a face in such image or video and/or that such image or video was taken of a real human user. Such service provider generates face vectors, and extracts other facial attributes, and/or processes such information as a probabilistic number and related information, as well as frames (images), which we may receive. One or more real humans at Perry Street Software may take into account such information in the process of verification, including without limitation, whether a face and/or a real human user was present, whether a face and/or user is familiar to us, and whether any of the foregoing matches associated photos uploaded by a profile.

Biometric identifiers and biometric information (individually or collectively, as applicable, “biometric data”), including images, videos (for example, video selfies), face scans, face geometry, face vectors, and other facial attributes, and such information as probabilistic numbers and related information, as well as frames (images), may be collected, captured, obtained, disclosed, possessed, processed, received, stored, and used by such service provider on our behalf for the purpose of providing these verification services. Biometric data may be transmitted between us and such service provider as necessary to provide and receive verification services. In addition, biometric data may be disclosed as required by applicable law, as required pursuant to a warrant, subpoena, other court order, or a binding order of a governmental body, and/or as expressly consented to by you.

We may retain your biometric data as long as is necessary or relevant for our use of these verification services. We will instruct our service provider to permanently destroy biometric data that is stored on our behalf when the initial purpose for collecting or obtaining such biometric data has been satisfied, when a user requests that such biometric data be deleted, or earlier if required by applicable law.

We store, transmit, and protect from disclosure any biometric data collected or captured using a reasonable standard of care and measures that are at least as protective as the way that we store, transmit, and protect other confidential and sensitive information.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Notice and Consent at any time and from time to time. Please review this Notice and Consent periodically, and especially before you provide any biometric data. This Notice and Consent was made effective on the date indicated above.

The following message will appear in our apps when proceeding with Selfie Verification:

For purposes of authenticating your use of the Service and/or voluntarily obtaining a verification badge for a profile, by tapping "Accept" below, you acknowledge and agree you: (1) have been provided with, reviewed, and agree to be bound by our Notice and Consent to Process Biometric Data (“Notice and Consent”), Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Profile Guidelines, and other instructions and guidelines posted on and/or communicated through the Service, and (2) grant consent to us and our service provider to collect, capture, obtain, disclose, possess, process, receive, store, and use your biometric data for the purpose, all as described in our Notice and Consent. If you do not agree, tap "Reject" below to exit without providing your biometric data. We will not be able to complete the verification process.
